The IGLUS Executive Master is a unique degree offering a comprehensive and professional approach to sustainable governance of large urban systems.
6 Cities, 6 Urban Challenges
Cities and urban agglomerations are complex socio-technical systems comprised of different infrastructures (transport, water, waste, energy, housing and greens). Infrastructures play a central role in determining the global competitiveness of cities and also heavily dictate the quality of life of the citizens and the performance and attractiveness of the complex urban systems in terms of their efficiency, sustainability and resilience. The IGLUS Executive Master offers a unique opportunity to learn about innovative approaches to governing and managing these complex urban infrastructures, both in theoretical and practical environments. The Master program is structured around six cities, each of which faces a particular urban development challenge, so that each module focuses on one particular performance dimension.
A Global Framework
We believe that sharing carefully selected urban governance experiences and knowledge from around the world provides a unique opportunity for city managers to become exposed to different innovative ways to approach urban system governance. Each of the seven cities in which the IGLUS Training Series takes place addresses the governance of urban systems from a different angle. Taken together, these modules comprise a global learning journey that provides a complete and comprehensive approach to urban governance.
