She has a Bachelor in Arts in Economics (2010-2013) from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, Delhi University. It is one of the premier institute for undergraduate study of Economics in India. Thereafter, she chose to delve deeper into public policy and obtained her Master of Arts degree in Urban Policy and Governance (2014-16) from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai.
- She is a Research Associate (Urban Governance) at Vision India Foundation since June 2016. She is currently researching on community-led best practices in urban governance (covering themes of solid waste management, urban transport and public spaces) across India, to publish a book. She has also published articles on different online and print media, on topics ranging from local governance of the capital city of Delhi to decentralised waste management to an analysis of the union government’s urban development schemes.
- She has also worked as a Business Analyst at Takshashila Consulting from June – November 2013. Her key task involved running the Project Management Office for the Managing Director of one of the largest American Solar Energy company. She also researched on market entry opportunities in Central and South Asian countries.
Areas of interest
She is interested in engaging with the urban local governments to understand, influence, implement and evaluate urban governance and policies. In urban governance, decentralized waste management and sustainable urban transport are of particular interest to her. She is an environment lover at heart and tries to ensure judicious use of resources in all areas of her life. She also enjoys reading about Indian history and the Indian civilization. She likes travelling and learning about governance best practices of different cities.
