Prof. Dr. Diego A. Rodríguez Lozano obtained his PhD in the Architectural Projects Department at the ETSAB of the Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña (UPC) in 2006. He also holds a Master degree in Urban Theory “Metropolis”, and also Master degree in Architecture, Art and Ephemeral Space from the same university (UPC).
He has been the Head of the Architecture Department at the School of Architecture, Art and Design of the Tecnológico de Monterrey (Campus Monterrey) from January 2013 to date. He has been Full time professor at the same school since 1996 where he teaches several courses in Architectural and Urban Theory and Urban Studios. He was founder and coordinator of the Legorreta Tagliabue Architecture & Urban Studio at the same school and continued as main coordinator and professor of the Urbanism & Citizenship Studio until 2014, working within the urban regeneration project of the Monterrey Campus and its district (Distrito TEC Urban Project).
He has been part time professor at Elisava Design School in Barcelona and at the Barcelona Architecture Center. He has been a visiting professor at the University of Texas Austin School of Architecture, at the Instituto de Arquitectura, Diseño y Arte of the Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez, at the Universidad Internacional Alfonso VIII, and at the ETSAB of the Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña.
