Dr. Mo Mansouri is an Assistant Professor at the School of Systems and Enterprises (SSE) at Stevens Institute of Technology since 2008. He currently conducts research in the realm of governance studies and analytics, which focuses on the decision rights and share of authority over resources among the stakeholders based on the dynamics of relationships and nature of transactions within network environments such as network industries and organizations. His research activities include the development of frameworks, models, mechanisms, and methods for influencing desired behavioral patterns as well as performance output of network ecosystems. He applies quantitative methods to model and influence patterns of evolution among actors in the public online social networks. The outcomes of his governing frameworks are suggestive policies to be adopted by the body of stakeholders in network environments. He also utilizes systems thinking modeling approaches to develop a portfolio of policies that enhances resilience of such networks.
Prior to joining Stevens, he worked with several non-profit, philanthropic and development organizations as a research fellow and scientist working on evaluation of non-profit programs’ effectiveness. As a management and business consultant, he designed and analyzed management and operations systems in economic and social development programs and created systemic tools and methods to assist decision-making processes in strategic philanthropy. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Sharif University of Technology, a Master’s degree from the University of Tehran both in Industrial Engineering, and a Doctor of Science degree in Engineering Management from The George Washington University.
